Standing reading lamp, practical and discreet
How about a discreet, effective lamp? This floor lamp is one of a kind: its slender design means it can blend into any environment: reading corner, living room, bedroom or entrance hall. The top part is flexible, so you can direct the light beam wherever you want.
This lamp must be fitted with a GU10 bulb.

Why choose a floor lamp?

A ceiling lamp is often not sufficient to illuminate an entire room and give it an atmosphere. Ceiling lamps and floor lamps, therefore, complement each other perfectly. A floor lamp is used for ambient or accent lighting rather than the main lighting. The beam of light is often too limited to be used as the main lighting. A floor lamp will be perfect for illuminating a darker corner and will be ideal as a reading lamp next to a sofa. The advantage of a floor lamp is that you can easily move the lamp from one room to another or from one corner of the room to another. You can position a floor lamp anywhere near a power outlet.
For example, you can place a floor lamp next to a desk, and you have a desk lamp! This can be useful if you don't have a lot of space on your desk.

What is a GU10 light bulb?

A GU10 light bulb is designed for GU10 or GZ10 fittings. These light bulbs are commonly used for spotlights. The GU10 light bulb employs a twist-and-lock system, called Bi-Pin, which consists of two prongs spaced 10 mm apart. U means "Universal". They operate at 230 volts without the need for a transformer or a driver. If your light bulb is dimmable, you will be able to adjust the brightness at all time. It’s designed to fit snugly into place with just a push and a clockwise twist.

What does the IP value mean on a light fitting?

All light fittings are classified according to their IP value. These IP values (International Protection or Ingress Protection) indicate the degree of protection of the light fitting against dust and moisture. The IP value consists of two digits: the first digit indicates the level of protection against dust; the second, the level of protection against moisture. What does the IP20 value mean on this light fitting?

2: is protected against the intrusion of solid particles with a dimension greater than 12.5 millimetres.
0: has no protection against water penetration. This light fitting can be installed indoors, but not in wet areas.
It is not recommended to install this light fitting outdoors. A device with an IP20 value is not protected against dust or moisture. A light fitting marked IP20 may have holes to prevent overheating. However, the lamp is protected against contact with objects larger than 12.5 mm, such as a hand or finger.
