Spotlight for lighting up pathways

This sober, elegant black brass spotlight diffuses a clear, targeted light that's ideal for decorating your pathway or illuminating areas of your garden or facade that you want to highlight.
It has a peg so you can plant it anywhere in your garden. The lamp can be adjusted using a screw on the side to direct the light beam to suit your needs.
The lamp has an IP64 rating, meaning it is protected against dust and water.
This lamp has a GU10 socket and must be fitted with a GU10 bulb.

What are the properties of brass?

Brass is an alloy consisting predominantly of zinc and copper. Brass is significantly more yellow than pure copper and bronze. It is a material that has always been appreciated for its resistance and its colour close to that of gold.
Brass resists moisture and does not rust, and is easy to maintain. Over time, the glossy surface will tend to oxidize naturally and become verdigris (greyish-green). This is a natural process of brass ageing and does not constitute grounds for complaint or is something covered by the warranty.

What does the IP value mean on a light fitting?

All light fittings are classified according to their IP value. These IP values (International Protection or Ingress Protection) indicate the degree of protection of the light fitting against dust and moisture. The IP value consists of two digits: the first digit indicates the level of protection against dust; the second, the level of protection against moisture. What does IP64 mean?

IP64 means that this lamp is protected against:
6 : dust (dust tight).
4 : water splashes from all directions.
Indoor: rated for installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3.
Outdoor: suitable for outdoor use if correctly installed in zones 3 and 4 (see zone diagrams in the gallery).

What is a GU10 light bulb?

A GU10 light bulb is designed for GU10 or GZ10 fittings. These light bulbs are commonly used for spotlights. The GU10 light bulb employs a twist-and-lock system, called Bi-Pin, which consists of two prongs spaced 10 mm apart. U means "Universal". They operate at 230 volts without the need for a transformer or a driver. If your light bulb is dimmable, you will be able to adjust the brightness at all time. It’s designed to fit snugly into place with just a push and a clockwise twist.
