What are the properties of brass?
Brass is an alloy consisting predominantly of zinc and copper. Brass is significantly more yellow than pure copper and bronze. It is a material that has always been appreciated for its resistance and its colour close to that of gold.Brass resists moisture and does not rust, and is easy to maintain. Over time, the glossy surface will tend to oxidize naturally and become verdigris (greyish-green). This is a natural process of brass ageing and does not constitute grounds for complaint or is something covered by the warranty.
What does the IP value mean on a light fitting?
All light fittings are classified according to their IP value. These IP values (International Protection or Ingress Protection) indicate the degree of protection of the light fitting against dust and moisture. The IP value consists of two digits: the first digit indicates the level of protection against dust; the second, the level of protection against moisture. What is a GU10 light bulb?
A GU10 light bulb is designed for GU10 or GZ10 fittings. These light bulbs are commonly used for spotlights. The GU10 light bulb employs a twist-and-lock system, called Bi-Pin, which consists of two prongs spaced 10 mm apart. U means "Universal". They operate at 230 volts without the need for a transformer or a driver. If your light bulb is dimmable, you will be able to adjust the brightness at all time. This lamp is fixed to the ceiling/wall with a metal bracket. The screws that serve to attach the bracket to the lamp are included. The screws used to attach the bracket to the ceiling/wall are not included because the type of screw depends on the material of the wall or ceiling (concrete, brick, plasterboard, wood).
