Porcelain light fixture, perfect for indoor, bathroom or outdoor use.
This minimalist and timeless wall lamp or ceiling lamp is part of the collection 'Pure Porcelain' designed and developed by Zangra.
This design is waterproof and therefore suitable for both outdoor and bathroom use. That is why the back of the lamp is completely closed. It means that there is little space left for the electrical wiring, since the connection must be made through two small rubber pieces with a diameter of 5 mm. It is therefore advisable to work with a (standard) flush-mount junction box, as you can see here. Keep in mind that concrete or brick walls do not always allow installing flush-mounted junction boxes.
The story behind zangra's porcelain
Soon after being established in 2009, zangra started to successfully cooperate with different porcelain factories all over the world – a cooperation that continues to this day. In recent years, zangra has spent a lot of time in world’s most famous porcelain cities. From Limoges in France to Jingdezhen in China, zangra was able to work at legendary porcelain factories. So in cooperation with the staff zangra created new models and rediscovered old forgotten molds. A number of old molds were put back in production making new pieces. zangra’s porcelain is still produced by hand, piece by piece. This makes each piece unique. zangra's work proved successful with their products being sold all over the world.What is a G9 light bulb?
A G9 light bulb looks like a small capsule and has two pins spaced 9 mm apart (hence the 9 in its name). This base is also called mini Bi-Pin. G9 light bulbs are very small and can therefore be used in small light fixtures. G9 bulbs simply operate on 230V; you can therefore connect them directly to the electrical network. A light bulb with a G9 base must be placed on a light fixture with a G9 fitting. This type of light bulb is simply inserted by pushing the two pins into the socket and is therefore very easy to install.Here you will find examples of halogen G9 42 W and halogen G9 28 W light bulbs.
What does the IP value mean on a light fitting?
All light fittings are classified according to their IP value. These IP values (International Protection or Ingress Protection) indicate the degree of protection of the light fitting against dust and moisture. The IP value consists of two digits: the first digit indicates the level of protection against dust; the second, the level of protection against moisture. The higher the IP value, the higher the protection. Check this diagram to see the different existing IP values.
What does IP54 mean?
IP54 means that this lamp is protected against:5 : dust.
4 : water splashes from all directions.
Indoor: rated for installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3.
Outdoor: suitable for outdoor use if correctly installed in zone 3 and 4 (see zone diagrams in the gallery).

Is the light bulb included?
The light bulb is not included when you buy this light. You will find here the whole selection of LED, incandescent, stick and halogen light bulbs. Take into account that each light needs a specific type of light bulb. You will find the kind of light bulb that it requires under the "Technical Description" tab.Are the screws included?
No screws are supplied, as the type of screw depends on the material of the wall or ceiling (concrete, brick, plasterboard, wood).
You need a different type of screws depending on each material.
Do not use an electrical screwdriver
Do not use electrical screwdrivers when installing ceramic or porcelain items. We recommend to first drill a hole in the wall, fit the right plugs inside and use a manual screwdriver to fix the screws in place. Be especially careful during the final tightening of the screws.
