With David, zangra offers a playful and versatile porcelain light fitting. The collection consists of two models: a straight version and a slanted version, allowing for endless combinations and variations. The glazed porcelain base is available in six colours, and you can choose from more than thirty screw-on glass shades. From clear to opal, from smooth to ribbed: each combination gives the lamp a different look and light diffusion. David is fitted with an E27 socket that can take an E27 LED bulb.

David can be used as a wall light or ceiling light, on its own or in a composition of several fixtures. David is not suitable for outdoor use.

The light bulb is not included when you buy this light. You will find here the whole selection of LED, incandescent, stick and halogen light bulbs. Take into account that each light needs a specific type of light bulb. You will find the kind of light bulb that it requires under the "Technical Description" tab.

E27 stands for the type of the fitting of a lamp. E27 stands for a 27 mm diameter thread. "E" stands for Edison thread. So you always have to put an E27 light bulb in a fixture with an E27 fitting. E27 is the standard in England and most European countries.
The early light bulbs (remember them?) had a similar screw thread.
Be careful though, because there are also countries where E26 bulbs are the norm (for example in the United States).

All light fittings are classified according to their IP value. These IP values (International Protection or Ingress Protection) indicate the degree of protection of the light fitting against dust and moisture. The IP value consists of two digits: the first digit indicates the level of protection against dust; the second, the level of protection against moisture. The higher the IP value, the higher the protection. Check this diagram to see the different existing IP values.

What does IP21 mean?

IP21 means that this lamp is protected against:
2: the intrusion of solid particles with a dimension greater than 12.5 millimetres.
1: vertical falling drops of water.
Indoor: rated for installation in bathroom zone 3.
Outdoor: not suitable for use (see zone diagrams in the gallery).

Do not use electrical screwdrivers when installing ceramic or porcelain items. We recommend to first drill a hole in the wall, fit the right plugs inside and use a manual screwdriver to fix the screws in place. Be especially careful during the final tightening of the screws.

This product can be installed with a flush-mounting box (diameter 70 mm x depth 60 mm), but it can also be perfectly installed without one. The flush-mounting box is not included with this product.
