What does GOTS mean?
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is an internationally recognized standard for organic textiles. The standard covers the processing, production, packaging, labelling, trade and distribution of all types of textiles made from at least 70% certified organic natural fibres. If no percentage is indicated on the label, the product contains more than 95% organic textile fibres. If the percentage is between 70 and 95%, it must be indicated on the label.The final product can be a yarn, fabric, garment or home textile or other textiles.
