A ceiling rose hides the electrical connection. A rose is used to hide the place where the electrical wires, that come out of the wall or ceiling, are attached to the lighting fixture. Ceiling roses are not only functional, but also decorative. As standard, a ceiling rose has one opening for one electrical wire, but nowadays, there are also ceiling roses with multiple holes to allow, for example, several pendant lamps to come from one lighting point.
