A light fixture with a sophisticated retro design

This ceiling lamp draws its inspiration from the Schoolhouse style of lighting traditionally used in English universities in the 1920s. With their clean lines, these lights were particularly popular with institutions that wanted to create a studious atmosphere with soft, even lighting.
Today, these lighting fixtures, enhanced by a blown glass shade that adds the ultimate touch of sophistication, are gaining in popularity for their timeless design that lends a retro feel to any interior.
To achieve uniform lighting that accentuates the other elements in the room, we recommend lining up several of these ceiling lights.
This model is available in black/brass.
This light fixture must be fitted with an E27 bulb.

Choose the glass shade that fits our lamps
Our glass globes and shades are the perfect match for zangra's porcelain, bakelite and brass lamp collections. The shades are available as spare parts, allowing you to extend the life of your lamp if a globe needs replacement.
Due to the manufacturing process, the glass shades may exhibit parting lines.

Glass: a sustainable and recyclable material

At zangra, we believe that glass should be re-inserted into our daily lives to replace plastic. Glass plays an essential role in preserving our environment. Its responsible use and sustainable life cycle make it a valuable ally in the fight to protect the ecology. One of the most commendable features of glass is its ability to be recycled almost indefinitely. Unlike other materials that lose their properties during recycling, glass can be melted and remoulded several times without altering its quality. This reduces demand for natural resources, saves energy and minimises waste.

Is the light bulb included?

The light bulb is not included when you buy this light. You will find here the whole selection of LED, incandescent, stick and halogen light bulbs. Take into account that each light needs a specific type of light bulb. You will find the kind of light bulb that it requires under the "Technical Description" tab.

What does E27 mean?

E27 stands for the type of the fitting of a lamp. E27 stands for a 27 mm diameter thread. "E" stands for Edison thread. So you always have to put an E27 light bulb in a fixture with an E27 fitting. E27 is the standard in England and most European countries.
The early light bulbs (remember them?) had a similar screw thread.
Be careful though, because there are also countries where E26 bulbs are the norm (for example in the United States).
If you would like to know which standard applies in your country, check out this page.
Check out here the complete collection of E27 light bulbs by zangra.

Are the screws included?
This lamp is fixed to the ceiling/wall with a metal bracket. The screws that serve to attach the bracket to the lamp are included. The screws used to attach the bracket to the ceiling/wall are not included because the type of screw depends on the material of the wall or ceiling (concrete, brick, plasterboard, wood).
