ZANGRA SAYS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

Retro porcelain coat hook, Babette

This hook by zangra is called Babette. Babette is made of porcelain and is easy to attach with two screws. This double hook can be used as a coat hook, kitchen towel hook or bathroom hook!

Do not use an electrical screwdriver
Do not use electrical screwdrivers when installing ceramic or porcelain items. We recommend to first drill a hole in the wall, fit the right plugs inside and use a manual screwdriver to fix the screws in place. Be especially careful during the final tightening of the screws.

How high should I hang a coat rack?

The bottom of a coat hook should be placed at about 170-175 cm from the ground. Children's coat racks should be hung at about 120 cm.
Since not everyone is the same size, the ideal height to hang your wall hook can vary greatly from family to family. If your family members are rather tall, you can position the rack at least five centimetres higher; five centimetres lower if you’re on the smaller side. If you have children or family members of different sizes, we recommend using several hooks that will be fixed at different heights. Thus, you will be able to move the children’s hooks as they grow.

How do you put up a wall hook?

First, determine the right place to hang your wall hook. Next, place the hook against the wall and mark the place where you’re going to drill a hole with a pencil line. When drilling, it’s a good idea to hold a vacuum cleaner under the drill hole so that the dust is immediately sucked up and doesn’t fall to the ground. Don’t forget to vacuum the inside of the hole you’ve just drilled too. Place the wall plugs so that the hooks are properly inserted and can support the items’ weight. Remember that the type of wall plugs you need to use will depend on the material of the wall! You will need different wall plugs for plasterboard, brick, and concrete. If you use the wrong wall plugs, the hook may fall out and damage the wall.
After placing the right wall plugs, you can position the coat rack against the wall and screw it in.

The story behind zangra's porcelain

Soon after being established in 2009, zangra started to successfully cooperate with different porcelain factories all over the world – a cooperation that continues to this day. In recent years, zangra has spent a lot of time in world’s most famous porcelain cities. From Limoges in France to Jingdezhen in China, zangra was able to work at legendary porcelain factories. So in cooperation with the staff zangra created new models and rediscovered old forgotten molds. A number of old molds were put back in production making new pieces. zangra’s porcelain is still produced by hand, piece by piece. This makes each piece unique. zangra's work proved successful with their products being sold all over the world.
