Was ist Sisal?
Sisal ist eine umweltfreundliche, natürliche Faser, die aus den Blättern einer sukkulenten Pflanze der Agavenfamilie gewonnen wird. Der Saft wird aus den Blättern gepresst und die Fasern werden anschließend getrocknet. Diese getrockneten Fasern werden zu Garn versponnen. Die Sisalfasern sollten nicht chemisch behandelt werden. Die Sisal-Pflanze kommt hauptsächlich in Südamerika und Indien vor. Der Name stammt von der Hafenstadt, aus der Sisal exportiert wurde, und die in Mexiko liegt. Sisal wird häufig zur Herstellung von Seilen, Bürsten oder Teppichen verwendet. Es ist biologisch abbaubar, extrem stark und sehr nachhaltig.| Code | brush.037 |
