Replacement base for porcelain lamp with glass shade.
This design is waterproof and therefore suitable for both outdoor and bathroom use. That is why the back of the lamp is completely closed.
The electric wiring enters the lamp through the cable entrances on the outside of the lamp. If you do not want the electric wiring to be visible, it is possible to knock or drill a hole in the porcelain (at the wall side). There is a spot provided where the porcelain is made thinner. Be careful because this is not an easy task! Use a brand new carbide-tipped masonry drill that has a variable speed trigger. You never want to drill ceramic with the drill at high speed.
Bulb not included.
No screws are supplied, as the type of screw depends on the material of the wall or ceiling (concrete, brick, plasterboard, wood).
Do not use electrical screwdrivers when installing ceramic or porcelain items. We recommend to first drill a hole in the wall, fit the right plugs inside and use a manual screwdriver to fix the screws in place. Be especially careful during the final tightening of the screws.
