These skins are from icelandic sheep.
The lambs spend their lives roaming the wild country’s lush hills and valleys eating delicious fresh herbs and grasses, with almost no contact with humans.
Lambs are slaughtered in specialized abattoirs for meat. So the lambskins are a sub-product of the meat industry.

HOW TO CLEAN A LAMBSKIN?
Brush and vacuum regularly to keep wool fluffy, soft and neat.
Natural short wool
Short skins can be hand or machine washed in warm water (30°C) using special liquid cleaner for wool on a gentle wahsing cycle, without spinning.
Stretch lambskin after washing and shape it a few times during drying as skin may shrink. Leave skin to dry away from sunlight and direct heat. Do not put lambskin in the dryer.
Natural long wool
Small stains and minor soiling can be sponged off with a damp cloth. You can use special liquid for wool, mix it with water and use froth only to clean stains (do not use much water).
Leave skin to dry away from sunlight and direct heat. Do not put lambskin in the dryer. Fluff the hair back up by rubbing your fingers through it. You can also carefully brush it.
Dry clean only to prevent colour fading.
