Schoolhouse ceiling lamp: retro elegance at the heart of your interior

Travel back in time with our Schoolhouse ceiling lamp, a creation inspired by the iconic lamps of the 1920s that adorned prestigious English universities. Their classic lines were the preferred choice of institutions looking for soft, uniform ambient lighting.
Today, these lights continue to fascinate with their retro aesthetic that can transform any interior. Our brass ceiling light has been designed to bring a touch of elegance and refinement to your space. The glass globe's timeless charm blends perfectly with the clean lines of the brass base.
Explore the past while illuminating your present with this Schoolhouse ceiling lamp that subtly merges tradition and modernity, adding a vintage touch to your interior design.
This lamp requires an E27 bulb.

What are the properties of brass?

Brass is an alloy consisting predominantly of zinc and copper. Brass is significantly more yellow than pure copper and bronze. It is a material that has always been appreciated for its resistance and its colour close to that of gold.
Brass resists moisture and does not rust, and is easy to maintain. Over time, the glossy surface will tend to oxidize naturally and become verdigris (greyish-green). This is a natural process of brass ageing and does not constitute grounds for complaint or is something covered by the warranty.

Choose the glass shade that fits our lamps
Our glass globes and shades are the perfect match for zangra's porcelain, bakelite and brass lamp collections. The shades are available as spare parts, allowing you to extend the life of your lamp if a globe needs replacement.
Any bubbles or parting lines on our products are proof of the real craftsmanship that goes into the manufacturing process.

Glass: a sustainable and recyclable material

At zangra, we believe that glass should be re-inserted into our daily lives to replace plastic. Glass plays an essential role in preserving our environment. Its responsible use and sustainable life cycle make it a valuable ally in the fight to protect the ecology. One of the most commendable features of glass is its ability to be recycled almost indefinitely. Unlike other materials that lose their properties during recycling, glass can be melted and remoulded several times without altering its quality. This reduces demand for natural resources, saves energy and minimises waste.

Is the light bulb included?

The light bulb is not included when you buy this light. You will find here the whole selection of LED, incandescent, stick and halogen light bulbs. Take into account that each light needs a specific type of light bulb. You will find the kind of light bulb that it requires under the "Technical Description" tab.

What does E27 mean?

E27 stands for the type of the fitting of a lamp. E27 stands for a 27 mm diameter thread. "E" stands for Edison thread. So you always have to put an E27 light bulb in a fixture with an E27 fitting. E27 is the standard in England and most European countries.
The early light bulbs (remember them?) had a similar screw thread.
Be careful though, because there are also countries where E26 bulbs are the norm (for example in the United States).
If you would like to know which standard applies in your country, check out this page.
Check out here the complete collection of E27 light bulbs by zangra.

Are the screws included?
This lamp is fixed to the ceiling/wall with a metal bracket. The screws that serve to attach the bracket to the lamp are included. The screws used to attach the bracket to the ceiling/wall are not included because the type of screw depends on the material of the wall or ceiling (concrete, brick, plasterboard, wood).
