For such a diminutive country, Belgium has brought us bountiful gifts: Tintin, Audrey Hepburn, Luc Tuymans, Brussels sprouts, and the saxophone, to name a few. It's time to add one more - zangra, a young company begun by architect-turned-manufacturer (and general procurer of cool stuff) Eve Van Dyck. Out of a frustration with modern light fixtures, Van Dyck had some antique light sockets copied by a porcelain factory. She kept some and sold the rest to her architect friends, who soon wanted more. Before long, she was producing a variety of light fixtures and other household goods. "Sell the things you like," says Eve, who happily, has an eye for the hard-to-find and the irresistble. - REMODELISTA
